I’m David Langham, a graphic designer in Norwich (UK) who specialises in wayfinding and information design.

I do this because I care about making the world easier to understand and navigate.

Project managers usually come to me when they need published documents, information graphics and product concepts for their research projects, wayfinding schemes or brand activity.

My practice as a designer is concerned with communicating effectively. I am interested in the nature of perception and interpretability, taking into account user needs and accessibility considerations.

I’ve worked as a designer for arts organisations, local authorities, transport companies and venue owners on projects for individuals, specialist groups, and the general public.

When I’m not working, I like to swim, play football, and look at photographs.

I can help you with…

  • Navigational maps, bespoke pictograms, architectural illustrations, and graphics from statistical data to enable better understanding of complex information and environments.

  • Using research methods and brand articulation exercises combining insight and creativity, I can help you define and express your brand’s personality and positioning in the market.

  • Reports, presentations, books and bespoke materials requiring considered layouts, perfectly set typography and styling which ensures information is engaging and accessible.

  • I’ve developed cohesive visual identities which describe a brand through colour, type and imagery as well as concepts for its application and guidelines for any potential usage.

  • From early ideation to refined visuals, I work closely with clients to create mockups which can then be taken through to detail design and production. This can be either mass produced items or bespoke products, including signage, packaging, and exhibition stands.

  • You can print anything these days. This often usually involves taking a concept or draft and producing print-ready files which can be sent to manufacturers and suppliers.

That’s it, that’s the website.
